About Omnis

Our Roots

Founded in 2004 by Richard J. Tauss (1939-2007), Dr. Joseph E. Pesce and Zachary G. Warfield, Omnis was designed to be a community where highly talented researchers, engineers and other experts could develop innovative solutions to the problems that most concern the intelligence, defense and national security communities.

Omnis was originally sponsored as a subsidiary of Intec, Inc., a company with a long and successful history of sponsoring technology start-up companies. Its founder and CEO was Richard J. Tauss and its chairman was Carl Duckett, who previously served as the CIA's Director of Science & Technology from 1966-1976. Omnis is proud of these roots, which date to the earliest days of applied research in the U.S. Intelligence Community.

Omnis Today

Today, Omnis is a private company where originality, creativity and synergistic approaches flourish. From the start, Omnis has distinguished itself by applying existing technologies in new and fruitful ways, and by working with strategic partners to develop and deploy new technologies. In addition to a full-time staff of 23, Omnis' strengths include a large pool of readily available, expert consultants who contribute critical expertise to special projects.

Omnis serves customers globally, including government, academia, private companies and high-net-worth individuals. From its roots in the physical sciences, engineering, and space, Omnis has grown to include experts in critical thinking, analytic tradecraft, forensics and situational awareness.

In 2007, Omnis, Inc. was part of a team awarded one of the largest contracts to date by a key component of the U.S. Intelligence Community.

In 2008, Omnis expanded into the emerging field of Threat Finance and Market Intelligence by recruiting two Wall Street professionals with more than 60 years combined experience in global capital and commodities markets. As a result, Omnis now has a 24/7 strategic watch capability to derive unique actionable intelligence from global markets using proprietary analytics and advanced behavioral modeling.
