Join us for a special

CRITICAL THINKING EVENT WITH CHARLES DUELFER

Mr. Duelfer is the author of the book, Hide and Seek: The Search for Truth in Iraq. This is the back story behind the Iraq tragedy in Washington and Baghdad. It draws on Charles Duelfer's position as the Senior American and Deputy Chairman of the UN inspection organization for Iraq as well as Head of the Iraq Survey Group. For a decade, when Washington had no diplomatic relations with the Saddam regime, Mr. Duelfer was the only senior American in regular contact with the regime. He came as close as anyone to seeing the tragedy unfold on both sides. In Baghdad he knew Saddam's top ministers. In Washington, he worked with senior officials in both the intelligence and policy areas. He saw how US policy and intelligence went wrong, and how Iraqi intelligence and policies went wrong. His experience and perspective is unique. Dinner will be served and you will enjoy a lively presentation from Charles, as well as a Q&A session.
